about

Officially released in 2011 (past Shyft didn’t have the time, so future Shyft finished the last two songs and mastered it), this is a happy hard core album by Shyft, and is his first full fledged happy hard core release. It ranges from anthemic to trancy to intelligent free form (yep. I just made that up, but it’s true), with a touch of folk elements here and there. You will hear some steel drums and hurdy gurdies. It features two Red Ankh tracks, ‘Glee Monster’ which is what you might call ‘instrumental happy hardcore metal’, and a remastered version of Tahztey Greaggor (Shyft Remix).

Shyft Denver, Colorado

This is Shyft’s gabber/hardcore/breakcore/drill’n’bass project. Distorted heavy bass kicks, thick synths, and powerful melodies are the aim here- unless it’s chopped up progressive percussion. Influences come from many places, and not just the gabber or brain dance scene. It ranges from techno, trance and house genre classes to organic genre classes such as folk and metal. ... more
